Projekat „Heroji” Karoline Patos je izložen u „Kući legata”. Umetnica nije mogla doći u Beograd ali u sredu 19, maja u 17 časova imaćemo uživo razgovor sa njom na platformi „Zoom” i na našoj „Facebook” stranici.

Ovim putem vas pozivamo da se uključite na razgovor i da joj postavite neko pitanje. Kasnije ćemo postaviti snimak na naš „YouTube” kanal, gde se nalaze svi ostali intervjui koje smo imali do sad.

Karoliina Paatos je iz Rovanijemia, Finska. Radi uglavnom u Finskoj i u SAD-u.

Sedam godina je beležila promenljivi i nestajući način života stočara i kauboja iz Nevade, Ajdaha, Oregona i Teksasa, kao i takmičara gej rodea. Takođe prati život i sazrevanje dve devojčice koje žive na malom porodičnom ranču.

Ova izložba realizovana uz veliku podršku „Frame – Contemporary Art Finland”, „Finnish Cultural Fundation” i „Arts Promotion Center Finland”, zahvaljujući njima, finska umetnica Karolina Patos učestvuje na Beogradskom mesecu fotografije 2020/1.

The project “Heroes” by Karoliina Paatos is exhibited in the “Kuća legata”. The artist could not come to Belgrade, but on Wednesday, May 19th at 5 pm, we will have a online conversation with her on the “Zoom” platform and on our “Facebook” page.

We hereby invite you to join the conversation and ask her a question or two. Later, we will post the video on our “YouTube” channel, where all the other interviews we have had so far are.

Karoliina Paatos is from Rovaniemi, Finland. She works mainly in Finland and the USA.

For seven years captured the changing and disappearing lifestyle of the cattle ranchers and cowboys of Nevada, Idaho, Oregon and Texas as well as contestants of the gay rodeos. She also follows the life and maturation of two young girls who live small family owned ranch.

The exhibition has been organised through the essential support of “Frame – Contemporary Art Finland”, “Finnish Cultural Fundation” and “Arts Promotion Center Finland” that supports artist mobility, by which Finnish artist Karoliina Paatos is able to participate in Belgrade Photo Month 2020/1.

Artist talk: Inês d’Orey

We are pleased to invite you to the artist talk and the presentation of works by Portuguese photographer Inês d’Orey who is currently staying at the Footnote centre as a resident artist.

Inês d’Orey’s work focuses on the transformation of heritage’s identity in the contemporary city, where the architectural object presents itself as a subject of memory, changing its meaning over time. Her research in Belgrade is focused on the investigation of the plurality of architectural approaches to the memory and representation of Socialism in the former Yugoslavia.

At the Footnote, we will show fragments of selected projects realised by Inês, “Porto Interior” photo-book, video series “Limbo” and you can see the installation “Antecámara” at the Balkan cinema as part of the Belgrade Photo Month.

Razgovor sa Đoanom Alvadom

Đoan Alvado će razgovarati sa Davidom Pužadom, direktorom festivala Beogradski mesec fotografije.

Baziran na geografskoj oblasti Kučeva i Majdanpeka, Alvadov projekat “Muma Paduri” je foto esej o Vlasima, njihovoj kulturi i istoriji, usredsređen na magijska verovanja i obrede, kao i na kult mrtvih.
ℹ️ Ova izložba postavljena je u galeriji Instituta Servantes do 16. maja. Kustoskinja izložbe je Zeren Oruc.

📸 Đoan Alvado (Altea, 1979) je fotograf koji od 2005. godine živi u Barseloni. Njegov rad je usmeren na dugoročne projekte sa antropološkim fokusom na prirodu i njenu vezu sa čovekovom verom kroz različite slojeve istorije. Njegova dela, izlagana u galerijama i na festivalima u više zemalja, nalaze se u privatnim i javnim kolekcijama. Neke od njegovih fotografija objavljene su u različitim medijima, kao što su Newsweek, CNN, The Washington Post, The Guardian, Der Spiegel, El País, između ostalih.

Basado geográficamente en las áreas de Kucevo y Majdanpek, la exposición “Muma Paduri” de Joan Alvado es un ensayo fotográfico sobre el pueblo valaco, su cultura e historia, centrado en las creencias y prácticas en torno a la magia y el culto a los muertos.
ℹ️ La exposición está abierta en la galería del Instituto Cervantes hasta el 16 de mayo. La comisaria de la exposición es Zeren Oruc.

📸 Joan Alvado (Altea, 1979) es un fotógrafo residente en Barcelona. Su trabajo se centra en proyectos a largo plazo, con un enfoque antropológico acerca de la naturaleza y su relación con las creencias del hombre a lo largo de varios estratos de la historia. Algunas de sus fotografías han sido publicadas en medios como Newsweek, CNN, Washington Post, The Guardian, Der Spiegel o El País, entre otros, y su obra, expuesta en galerías y festivales de varios países, reside en diversas colecciones públicas y privadas.
